National Education Day in India, November 11 2015

National education day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first education minister Maulana Abu Kalam Azad who served as education minister of India from august 15, 1947 to February 2, 1958. He was not only an eminent education minister but also a great freedom fighter. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the birth anniversary of the great education minister will be celebrated as National Education Day of India this year onwards.

A great emphasis is laid on Skill Awareness and Empowerment” in the school while celebrating the first National Education Day on November 11 this year. It is made sure that the students will get helped in strengthening their sustainability in their surroundings. Special arrangements are made to improve their emotional and social skills so that they get enriched with motivational vocational skills which will help them lead their life successfully. They will become first generation learners as per the requirement of changed time and scenario.

The board is aiming to provide inclusive education and promote entrepreneurship among the students. Issues like empowerment of the girl child and adoption of a school will also be highlighted.
