All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is a prestigious exam held every year. The engineering entrance exam is at par and of the level of the IITJEE. Like IIT exam, this exam is also difficult and cracking it requires lot of practice. If you have not prepared well for the AIEEE, obviously, you need to look through the syllabus designated for the entrance examination. The AIEEE is conducted annually for admitting desirous candidates to undergraduate degree program. The Ministry of Human Resource and Development, made the decision to conduct the AIEEE examination, starting from the year 2002 onwards.
AIEEE examination is conducted usually in the month of MAY every year. The candidates who achieve top ranking in AIEEE are called for counseling sessions and thereafter admission is granted to them in 19 National Institute of Technologies (NITs). All successful candidates will have to go for either state specific, or category specific counseling sessions. These counseling sessions are held on the days designated by the admission committee.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to AIEEE are 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent. For the candidates who are appearing in the 10+2 (Class XII), their eligibility condition rests only if they have passed the 10+2 and not otherwise.
Students opting for the B Tech will be judged on the basis of score they obtain in physics, chemistry and mathematics. The total duration of test is 3 hours. For the students who have applied in B. Arch., they are tested for the aptitude and mathematics. The basic structure of exam is on applications. It is advised that the students, who are sitting for AIEEE, should study seriously, or else they are less likely to make the success.
